Private Theodore Golan was killed during his first bombing raid over Munster, Germany on October 7th, 1944. He was believed to be missing in action by the Red Cross, but had his death confirmed in 1945. Only two people out of his ten man crew survived the crash. During his time at Cornell, Golan was a track star before enlistment.
