The second building to be build on Cornell’s campus, in 1857, College Hall has housed the chapel room, gymnasium, library, laboratories, faculty apartments, administrative offices, and the bookstore. It was extensively renovated in 1977, and currently contains faculty offices, classrooms, seminar rooms, and the McMillan Language Laboratory.
