Description

Lieutenant Harlan Nelson died in a C-47 plane crash on June 21st, 1944 after his plane hit a mountain side. He were on route to Yugoslavia when the plane went down. The Cornellian reported a funeral was being held for Nelson on September 24th, 1944. The military informed his family that Harlan's body had been recovered from the wreckage, and would be sent home for the occasion.
